September 13, 2020 - Join us for Indoor Livestream Worship
Beginning Sunday, September 13, we are inviting three family units to worship in the church sanctuary during the 9:00 am livestream service. While we recognize the experience will feel a bit different as the people who attend will be mainly observing the livestream production, we thought it would offer our church family another opportunity to see one another and be together in worship. These smaller indoor gatherings will also help us as we formulate our plan to bring worship indoors once the cold weather arrives. All the Commonwealth COVID protocols for indoor worship will be followed. Registration here.
August 23, 2020 ~ New Sunday Worship Times
Starting Sunday, August 23, we’re delighted to provide two opportunities to regather in person on Sundays. We are holding our plans loosely, but until the weather or further restrictions dictate otherwise, each Sunday there will be a Livestream service at 9:00 am followed by two outdoor services at 11:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Please Note: The same sermon will be preached for all three services. A children’s sermon will be included in the services when children between Preschool and 3rd grade are registered. And at this point, there will be no congregational singing for the outdoor services, but special music will be included. Pre-registration will be required for each service along with following the recommended health guidelines. We look forward to seeing how each of these services will be used to equip and extend the kingdom of Jesus.
August 15 & 16, 2020 ~ Prayer & Reflection Service
We’re delighted to regather in-person together for a time of prayer and reflection.
An evening “Prayer and Reflection” service follows a long tradition in the Christian
church of ending the day with a time of devotion and communion with God.
This outdoor service on the church lawn will feature a series of prayers, testimonies,
and a special message from Pastor Jeremy. Two services are being offered at
4:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday August 15 & 16. Each service is limited to 50 people.

Reflections on COVID 19 and Our Church: A letter from Pastor Jeremy
Dear FCCH Family and Friends,
Our Christian faith is a communal faith. The Christian life is meant to be lived out in community where the “one-anothering” of the New Testament can take place. Indeed, we are clearly told we should “not neglect assembling together” (Heb.10:25). God designed us to communicate most effectively and commune together most intimately when we are meeting face-to-face. But now, even the most casual interactions, particularly when trying to share the gospel, seem clumsy with the restrictions of social distancing and face coverings. It is precisely our communal nature and faith that makes life in an era of Covid-19 constraints particularly difficult for believers.
You can certainly imagine how challenging it is for a new pastor (any pastor!) to discern how best to serve you and to lead our congregation at a time like this. I don’t recall a class in seminary on “Leading your church during a pandemic.” Fortunately, this did not take God by surprise. He will lead us, guide us, protect us, and enable us to flourish! We’re excited to announce that starting in August, we will be entering the next stage of our reopening plan. While still encouraging our church family to participate in our livestream worship services on Sunday mornings, we will begin with an evening “Prayer and Reflection” service on the church lawn on August 1 and August 2.
We are planning on 40 people gathering together per service on the church lawn for a series of prayers, testimonies, and a special message from Pastor Jeremy. These “Prayer and Reflection” services follow a long tradition in the Christian church of ending the day with a time of devotion and communion with God. Please stay tuned because many more details regarding these services will be forthcoming. We look forward with great anticipation as we take one more step at reconvening together.

We invite adults in small groups of up to 12 to gather outdoors at two locations: the Ministry Center lawn and the lawn between the church building and the WC House.
All groups must register their meetings through the appropriate staff member: Pastor Kevin for small groups and men’s groups and Margot Rox for women's groups. This staff person will be responsible for communicating the protocols and procedures for gathering. As always, we ask that you consider the following guidelines provided by our health advisors, before attending any gathering at the church.
Small groups for high school and middle school students will meet outside on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. . Click here for information and registration for these small groups, and contact Pastor Chelsea with any questions. Student registration is required. Parents will be contacted about their students' group assignments and meeting times.
