Men’s Potluck Breakfast Saturday, October 27 Men, plan now to attend our next Potluck Breakfast on Saturday morning, October 27 at 8:00 am in Heritage Hall. You can sign up with a “clipboard guy” today. Cost is $5.00 or bring a hot breakfast dish to share. Our guest speaker is our new Elementary Children’s Director, Jared Larson, who will be sharing his faith journey. These breakfasts are always a great time of fellowship, so plan to join us!

Stephen Ministry Information Night November 7

We are inviting men and women interested in gaining skills to care for others, be a good listener, and come alongside people in difficult times to an evening to hear more about Stephen Ministry and to pray about being a part of our next training cohort which will begin in January. FCCH Bookkeeper Position
As Vicki Best retires from the Treasurer position at FCCH at the end of 2018, we are seeking a part-time bookkeeper to oversee all aspects of the accounting functions of the church. This position reports to the Business Administrator and will work closely with the Treasurer and Stewardship Committee. Required qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree; knowledge of and experience with QuickBooks accounting software; knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Foster Care Training Hosts
We are looking for people to help host on one of these four Saturdays (Nov. 3, 10, 17 & Dec. 1). We will be hosting the training for applicants interested in becoming Foster parents. We need people to be there to welcome, set up coffee and snacks, serve lunch, and to clean up at the end of the day. Blessing Milestone Coffee for Parents of Preschoolers-Nov. 4 Parents will receive a presentation of the Blessing Milestone with resources and practical guides to nurture young children and help them draw near to God. God’s House Bake Sale Funds A BIG thank you to everyone who donated both goodies and money to the God’s House Bake Sale event. We were able to raise $222.25 for Christian from Uganda, whom we support through Compassion International! We pray God will use those funds to be a blessing in both his life and the lives of his parents. We thank God for all of your hearts to give, and pray you will find His love and His grace thriving in the life of your homes. And a final thank you to Matt & Christine Allen, and the awesome 3rd grade team who gave of their time to run the Bake Sale event! You all did an amazing job!
Looking for New Nursery Workers You’re invited to serve in our Nursery on a rotating schedule! The Crawler and Toddler nurseries invite you to see first-hand the wonder of God’s creation in newborns and toddlers as you give the gift of attending the service to young parents. We are looking for many new caregivers to add to our veteran workers who serve during the 8:30 am and 11:00 am services. Serve once a month or choose your own dates. New caregivers will be trained in nursery policy. A background check (CORI) must be completed before their first date of service.

Youth Ministry: • High School Youth Group

We meet every Tuesday from 6:45-8:45 pm for active games, food, discussion, and prayer. We are studying the Old Testament books of Esther and Daniel as we think about being God’s people in challenging times.High School students will attend Adult SS today.
• Middle School Youth Group 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and their friends are invited to join us every Wednesday night. Don't miss all the high-energy games, worship, teaching, and small group breakouts as we talk about the attributes of God. From 6:45-8:30 pm in the Ministry Center.

It's Christmas and "We're on the Air"!
Christmas is fast approaching. We are creating a performance for the Children's Christmas Eve service. Rehearsals begin Sunday, November 11 from 12:30- 2:00 pm and continue every Sunday for grades 6 and up. All participants must be able to attend the dress rehearsal on December 23 at 3:00 pm and the 4:00 pm Children's Christmas Eve Service. If you are interested, come to the read through on November 4 from 2:45- 3:45 pm in the Ministry Center, Room 11.
Women’s Bible Studies
NightLight has just begun its second four-week study and we are examining what scriptures say about reconciliation (Oct 25 & Nov 1, 8). We would love for you to join us Thursday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm in Room 11 in the Ministry Center. Join us Tuesday mornings in Heritage Hall from 9:15 am to 11:30 am, as SonLight is entering a six-week study on Amos. There is a children’s program on Tuesdays which requires pre-registration.
