Community Groups

What are Community Groups?
Simply put, a Community Group is a voluntary, intentional gathering of from three to twelve people regularly meeting together with the shared goal of mutual Christian edification, fellowship, and service. It's primary goal is to create opportunities for Christian growth while at the same time offering avenues for fellowship.

If you are interested in being a part of a Community Group, or starting one yourself, contact Pastor Robert Tansill for more information at rtansill@fcchamilton.org.  Take a chance, invite a group of friends to join you, and start your own group. Training will be offered so stay tuned!  To find out more about Community Groups, click here.  Use your mouse to progress through presentation.

Community Groups Training:
Believing that relationships are foundational to who we are as a church, we will offer training with the hope of igniting a desire in you to move past simply sitting in the pews on Sunday morning to sharing your life with others in the church in an environment that is safe such as a Community Group.  What will you learn?

You will learn:
What Community Groups are, and how they fit into the overall vision of what we want to become at our church.
What the "life cycle" of a Community Group looks like, and how to look for warning signs of a faltering group.
What things make a group successful, and help it to live and prosper for a long time.
How you might lead a group if called upon.  What would your leadership style look like?
What types of issues might you need to be aware of as you prepare to lead?  What things can you do as a leader to make leading easier?  How to deal with conflict?

You will learn this, and much more.  If you want more from church, and want to experience the power that comes through developing relationships that will stand the test of time, contact Pastor Robert Tansill at rtansill@fcchamilton.org
